Well, I know you all usually stop by here for the ho-hum, gloom and doom, but I don't have any right now. Yep, I said it. A post filled with good stuff. Imagine that?
Pregnacy Update: Well, I've finally got a picture to post. This is me at 11.5 weeks.
I'm feeling so much better! Nausea is mostly gone and most things have gotten back to normal. The fatigue is setting in - at about 6 p.m., I'm ready to go to bed. Most nights, Robert and the girls find me snoozing on the couch. My next doctor's appt is Thursday, the 19th. I've been trying to watch my weight and especially what I eat in hopes that maybe I haven't gained any weight during the first trimester. We'll see! Me at 11.5 weeks
My Mom volunteered to keep the girls this past Friday night so that Robert and I could celebrate Valentine's Day and my birthday. We enjoyed a nice peaceful dinner out at a delicious Japanese restuarant. We shared space at the hibachi table with another couple and had quite the pleasant evening. We returned home to watch a movie, snuggled in bed. And after that, we were turning out the lights at 9:30 p.m. And frankly, that was perfect to me. That's exactly the kind of evening I was looking forward to. A peaceful dinner where I could actually hear my husband talking to me, I didn't have to feed anyone else, I did have to clean up after anyone else and I didn't even have to clean up after myself. Perfection!
On Saturday, we went to my grandmother's house for a big family get together. You see, there are quite a few birthdays and anniversaries in the month of February. So, we usually just have one big party for everyone on the same day. Valentine's Day is my Dad's birthday. I was born the day after my Dad's birthday and my brother was born the day after my Mom's birthday -- all in February. Weird, I know. Anyway, it was a great time with family.
And this past Wednesday, we had another get together with my immediate family - I'll post those pictures next.
