I thought I'd better update lest I get thrown into bloggy jail again. How are we doing? Well, we're taking it day by day. Right now, we're making our way around visiting family and friends. Still celebrating Christmas and the holidays and opening gifts. I think this has been the longest Christmas ever. But the girls sure are enjoying it.
As for me. I've had a couple rounds of nausea but nothing really to complain about. Today, I noticed that I'm growing in the mid-section already. Unbeknownst to me, Hubby says I've been growing throughout the year. So, I'm guessing I can't blame it all on the pregnancy. But, it does seem like a good excuse, don'tcha think? Anyway, I'm feeling the normal pregnancy symptoms . . . fatigue, slight nausea and just generally hormonal. But those characteristics are so natural to me, it's hard to tell if it's actually the pregnancy or just me being me. I'm having to really stop myself from worrying too much. Due to the miscarriage in November, my mind constantly wanders and I consider every scenario under the sun. Will this baby be ok? Is this going to be the day that I miscarry? Will I go to the first ultrasound and find that there is no heart beat? I remember being so naive during my first two pregnancies. Having never been touched by a miscarriage, it just seemed impossible. Now, the thought can actually take over sometimes. But, I again remind myself that my hope is in the Lord. And all things work to the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose. If I do miscarry or it turns out that there is no heartbeart, there is certainly a reason. And I trust the Lord enough to give him control. With that being said, I am human and my mind does wander sometimes. So, if you could say a little prayer for me . . . I just need a little peace and rest for my soul.
Hubby - well, he's joined us for almost a week. It's been a real treat having him home. He actually flew in Christmas Day and we were so thankful. He even got to see the girls open all their presents (I convinced the girls to wait for Daddy). They are so cute. At this point, we could wrap up any 'ole thing and the girls would be happy. Frankly we are enjoying this stage in life. I can take the girls into Walmart or Target and we can walk down the toy aisles and play with all the toys and not once do either of them throw a fit or tantrum wanting to take the toys with us. Oh, life is good --- and I'm sure this stage will not last very long. But it is fun nonetheless.
The big gift for the girls from Santa was a kitchen. My girls are quite the little chefs. They love to pretend to cook, so I know this kitchen will occupy them for many hours to come. As far as what they wanted, both girls told me that all they wanted for Christmas was a Princess Phone and a dinosaur. The princess phone is one of those $2.98 pieces of junk that they place in the check out aisle at Walmart so that you're forced to buy one because you're standing in line waiting to check and Lord have mercy you're child is screaming at the top of their lungs and the other one is crying and somehow it just happens to get thrown onto the little conveyer belt and then before you know it, there you are - the proud owner of a piece of crap princess phone. Anyway, all that to say, I bought them both one. Both girls also received dinosaurs from Hubby and from Papa. So, they were both very happy little girls.
So, in other news, my Pilot Wives Club site has 103 members to date. It's growing so fast and I'm currently working on a new site with more functionality. I'm proud of how everything has worked out so well and many of the members have really participated and kept the site going when I was preoccupied.
Also, I'm currently debating on whether to have a separate pregnancy blog. I'm not sure that the men who read here will want to hear all of the in's and out's of the pregnancy. So, if you have an opinion, feel free to chime in.
Well, I guess that catches you up for now. I will try to post some pictures from Christmas when I'm near my desktop again.
In case I haven't told you, I hope that you all had a very Merry Christmas. And I pray that each and every one of you will have a blessed 2009.
