Had you been around our house this week, you would have heard quite a bit of political talk going on. And do you want to know why this is so comical to me? Hubby has been gone and it's just been me and the two girls. So, yes. I've been having political conversations with a three year old. Here are some funnies for your entertainment:
We were sitting on the couch and a campaign ad for Barack Obama came on:
Maddy: "Mama, that's Barack Obama. He's trying to be President."
Mama: "Yes he is. But Maddy, remember our conversation the other day? Mom told you there were two people trying to be President. What is the name of the other man?"
Maddy: "Yep. His name is John McCain."
Mama: "Maddy, that's right! And this week, remember we have to go and vote on which guy we'd like to be our President."
Maddy: "Yes. And who are we gonna vote for Mama?"
Mama: "Well Maddy, who do you think we should vote for?"
Maddy: "Um . . . John McCain."
Mama: "Why do you think we should for vote for John McCain?"
Maddy: "Um . . . 'cause I like him."
Well alrighty then!

A campaign ad for Barack Obama came across the TV (seems he has more ads running in FL than John McCain). Maddy's ears perk up and she says to me . . .
"Mom, that's Barack Obama. He's gonna be on my Presidents mat soon."
You see, Maddy has a place mat with all the past Presidents listed in order with their picture and name. Back when we were in Ohio, Great Grandma W had lots of educational place mats. And we figured out, hey, she's actually learning something from these mats. So when we returned to Florida, I bought some at Walmart for our own use. And she's been enjoying them.
So, there you have it folks, Maddy's already calling the winner.
